Engine‑X is a free, browser‑based interactive 3D atlas that models real mechanical systems part by part. Every component is built as true 3D geometry — not a video or a static render — so you can explode the assembly, slice it open with a section view, switch to an X‑ray mode, and watch it run with true kinematics: the parts move at the speeds and in the directions they actually would in the real machine.
It exists because diagrams and animations usually only show a machine from one angle, at one moment. Engine‑X lets you take the whole thing apart yourself, at your own pace, from any angle.

The atlas currently covers eight machines, each with its own written guide: turbocharger, centrifugal pump, V‑belt pulley drive, helical gear reducer, planetary gearbox, reciprocating air compressor, plate heat exchanger and marine diesel engine, with more machines added regularly. All of them can be downloaded free from the 3D models gallery. See the explainer post for a live, always‑current list of every machine and how each one works.
3D machine websites for manufacturers. An interactive 3D page for your own pump, valve, gearbox or other product that buyers can rotate, explode and cut open in the browser, built for product pages, trade shows and sales calls.
Interactive 3D explainers for education. Machine models and explainers for engineering colleges, trainers and ed‑tech platforms, so students can see how a machine works from the inside.
